Handheld Learning in London
Much was gained from attendance at this yearly event. Nintendo, PSP, Wii and other devices were well represented during the three days. Classroom practice was shared by teachers and children alike. The most awe inspiring talk was that by Danah Boyd an acedemic from San Fransisco who had much to share on the ubiquitous nature of social networking. How and why children interact with in digital reality rather than in the real world. She aslo gave us much to think about with regards to E safety and the hysteria often rasied about such social networking sites. A PHD that will be so worth a read.
